Mirana Andriarisoa is a young professional from Madagascar, where she is currently based. She specializes in sustainable development, with a particular focus on energy transition, water management, and climate action. She has extensive experience in climate transparency through her work with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bonn, and she has coordinated projects and capacity-building activities with the United Nations University and Fundación Avina. A former leader of the Pan African University Climate Change and Gender Club, Mirana has demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting gender perspectives in climate initiatives. She holds a Master’s degree in Energy Policy from the Pan African University Institute for Water and Energy Sciences in Algeria and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar.
