Carlos Vargas is the Founder & CEO of Kopperkollektive and a Senior Communication Expert. He brings more than 10 years of international experience in strategic communications and in production of communication products He has experience working with continential and regional organizations such as the African Union and the East African Community. He led the process to develop a communication strategy for the Pan African University and was in charge of starting the implementation process including developing the official website and capacity building of the staff involved to ensure sustainability. In addition, he led the consultant team to develop the communication strategy for the EAC-GIZ cluster and developed the EAC-GIZ webportal. Carlos is currently supporting the GIZ ECOWAS Regional Stabilization Fund in Abuja, Nigeria and the African Union Border Programme in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in their communication efforts. He is knowledgeable and experienced in working in the highly political environments of the African continent.
