CHALLENGE

_ PCCGC is a student-run initiative at the Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences (and Climate Change) (PAUWES). They believe that research and knowledge sharing coupled with community-based actions and gender mainstreaming are necessary to combat climate change across Africa.

_ With the objective of increasing climate change awareness in communities, the group needs strong leadership and outreach competencies.
_ Paeradigms offers capacity development coaching to support student leaders in gaining skills and achieving the group’s goals.

APPROACH

_ Conducted a series of remote workshops with international experts to exchange experiences and knowledge on leadership skills (accountability, communication, influence, negotiation), climate change, gender and outreach.

_ Co-creation of internal communication mechanisms and a knowledge management system

_ Ongoing cooperation with Paeradigms' international network of experts to support PCCGC initiatives addressing “Agenda 2063 - The Africa We Want”.

RESULTS

_ Strengthening capacity of the group in leadership, youth entrepreneurship, gender equity and outreach.

_ Ongoing support.
